Yanzi is our Laner of the Week! Originally a harpist, composer and a city girl from Taiwan, she is currently working as an actor and writer in New York City. She loves travel, flying, hotels and…roaming in the airports around the world! But when she’s not working as a Laner or doing all that travel, she’s also strategizing a 6-month Green Card working plan for international artist students in their OPT, leveraging her own successful experience to help them obtain their Green Cards within one year. But let’s dive in, shall we?!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
Improvising! I cherish working for Mustard Lane because we not only get to learn from experienced organizers and productions, but we must also improvise to collaborate with team members and manage events.
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
Acting and writing, mostly scouting yummy vegan restaurants in Manhattan.
Favorite restaurant or food?
Iconic NYC vegan legend – Beyond Sushi! “Ginger Beef Dumplings” is highly recommended; it’s my favorite treat after a long audition process 🙂
What is one of your goals for 2023?
Financial Freedom. Besides art, I also focus on investments in AR, META universe, and NFTs. My goal for 2023 is to successfully generate passive income, saving time and energy to compose art.
Name a place off the Lane you’d love to travel to. And why?!
Shanghai. Despite the political issues that may exist between Taiwan and China, I have an inner connection with Old Shanghai. I would love to embrace this beautiful, heavenly city in my retirement.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from the stress of being Laner of the Week?
FaceTime my 2 year-old niece DaBoa in Taiwan! Thanks to technology, I don’t have to miss out on her childhood!
Do you prefer podcasts or books? Favorite one?
All-time favorite book is “Ami, Child of the Stars” by Enrique Barrios; most recent favorite is “Anastasia, the Ringing Cedars of Russia” by Vladimir Megré.
What’s your hidden talent?!
I’m a certified Akashic Record consultant.
If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?
Being invited to act and lecture around the world, with compensation covering all flights, hotels, meals, and an exceptional salary. Grateful for the first-class and five-star treatment. 😀
What’s an essential part of your daily, Laner routine?
Wim Hof breathing technique & Nikola Tesla 369 code.
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
When I suffered from serious Covid in 2020, I realize that I had been chasing deadlines my whole life. It might be a cliché, but one must ground and listen to herself first before being able to empathize and love others.
What is your favorite family/friend tradition?
When we get the chance to celebrate a family member’s success, we order an XXL pizza with 10+ gourmet toppings and triple vegan cheese.
What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work as a Laner should the chance ever arise?
Vegan and cruelty-free brands. Welcome to any volunteering opportunities!
What inspires you most?
I learn a lot about an inspiring and abundant lifestyle from SupremeMasterTv, especially when I feel lost.
