Sherilynn is our Laner of the Week! This California-based artist has a love for expression in all its forms! From gliding on roller skates to belting out tunes, her passions know no bounds. She recently co-produced a play and is currently working on a series of captivating short films. Always seeking new horizons to explore, is Sherilynn! Here we go…!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
The combination of meeting new people – both personally and professionally – along with opportunities for growth, align with my passion and skills. I feel like I’m making a difference. I’m continuously learning, forming new friendships, and gaining fresh opportunities.
When you’re not working as a fabulous Laner…what are you doing?!
I’m an actor and producer. I also work part time as a bartender at Moonshine Beach in Pacific Beach!
Favorite restaurant or food?
I love Greek and Italian food. Yum!
What is one of your goals for 2023?
To finish writing my screen play!
Name a place you’d love to travel to. And why?!
Greece to visit Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece, because I have always loved Greek mythology.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from being Laner of the Week?
Honestly… organizing my week, studying new projects, cooking and planning vacations! …and being a little lazy!
Do you prefer podcasts or books? Favorite one?
I like a little bit of both! My most recent audiobook was Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey
What’s your hidden talent?!
Speaking in various accents.
If you could have your dream job tomorrow, other than Laner of the Week, what would it be?
A reoccurring role on a Netflix series.
What’s an essential part of your Laner daily routine?
Getting dressed and brushing my teeth.
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
Worrying is not helpful until you know the situation is real. 90% of worries never happen; they are simply created by our assumptions and doubts. We always overcome the obstacles whether we worry or not.
What is your favorite family/friend tradition?
My best friend Elise and I love to trade stickers! We are always collecting stickers for each other!
What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work as a Laner should the chance ever arise?
Hulu, Netflix, HBO, movie and show premieres!
What inspires you most?
Empathy and understanding where people come from. Simply hearing people’s stories.
