If you are a client or a Laner you may know Lauren Haber through email, but haven’t yet put a face to the name. Well now is the time! Lauren was Kristal’s first full time internal employee and boy are we happy to have had her around for the past few years. She is our Business and Marketing Director and the front line to new clients. We chatted with Lauren about her experience at Mustard Lane and we’re excited to show you a peek into who she is, and what she brings to life on the Lane!
How long have you been working for the Lane?
I’ve been working internally for a little over 3 years!
What was your journey with ML been like?
It was all very unexpected to begin with, but it has been a great journey. I met Kristal on a power walk July of 2016. We got to chatting and by the end of the walk she asked if I wanted to work a few hours in the office. Two days in she offered me a full time job! We've been through so much together and being a part of ML's growth has been so rewarding. Since joining the Lane we've updated offices, launched
Meaux Space, began a non profit,
Off the Lane, and successfully tackled larger and larger projects each year. We now have an amazing internal team and our beloved
Dijon 2.0 which makes everything run smoother! The Lane has come so far and I can't wait to continue to see it's growth!
How long have you been in NYC and what is your fave part about living here?
I’ve been here since July of 2016, right after graduating. There are so many things I love about the city but I have to say my favorite is the food. I love the ability to have any type of food any day. It’s truly tainted my view of other cities, I can’t imagine moving to city where I don’t have access to this variety.
What are some of your hobbies outside the Lane?
Outside the Lane I love spending time with my friends and family. Luckily many of my college friends made the move to NYC and my sister lives here so I’m constantly surrounded by my favorite people. I also have a great love for Real Estate and recently got my License. I enjoy helping people find their new homes in the city!
Fave playlist to play on the Sonos?
Hmm this is a tough one because it constantly changes but right now is probably Maggie Rogers Radio at the office and Chronicle: 20 Greatest Hits at home.
Fave lunch order?
My heart lies with Felix at Kobeyaki.
What makes you excited/passionate about working at ML?
I wear many hats at ML but it’s actually something I love about my work here. It keeps me on my toes and each day is always something new and exciting.
I particularly love working with new clients on projects that I know the staff will enjoy. The best is locking down fun gigs that the Laner’s will love working! It’s always rewarding to receive positive feedback from both the client and the Laners.
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?
There are many places I've loved visiting, Thailand was an especially amazing experience but to actually live somewhere is a whole new ball game. I'd have to go with Paris, I could see myself living there and surviving off of wine, cheese and baguettes.
