Tonya Coley is our LANER OF THE WEEK!

Matthew Borchers

Meet Tonya, our country, animal-lovin’ Laner in Black Creek, NC, just outside Raleigh! While she just joined the Lane last summer, she’s quickly taken our NC gigs by storm! She's not one to sit still for long, so you'll most likely find her working outside with her animals or working a gig, which makes her a perfect addition to the Lane!

What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?

You guys are by far the BEST! ...great communication with managers and I love the detailed info for each event! My last event was for Petco which I loved because I got to pet the cutest dogs and even picked up a 12 pack of baby chicks for myself!

When you're not on the Lane...what are you doing?!

Anything that is outside and keeps me busy!!! I love the outdoors so being outside with my herd of animals makes me happy! I’m a country girl at heart!

Favorite restaurant or food?

Favorite food would be a homemade cherry cobbler from my mom.

What is one of your goals for 2023?

My main goal is to do more of the things I enjoy! Life is too short to be stuck in a job you don’t care for so I’m going full time into event work!

Name a place you'd love to travel to. And why?!

I’d love to visit the Vatican City and go to the Sistine Chapel...fascinating!

What's your favorite way to spend a day off?

On a boat fishing for bass!

Do you prefer podcasts or books? Favorite one?

Books - I gotta have a tangible object!!!

What's your hidden talent?!

I’m the woman version of MacGyver! I can figure out how to make anything work with whatever is handy at the moment.

If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?

I would love to be the market manager someday!

What is your favorite family/friend tradition?

My cousin and I make it a point to take a yearly trip to someplace beautiful! Last year, it was Cancun. This year, who knows...?!

What's an essential part of your daily routine?

Planning! I have to have a to-do list! I am a Type-A personality for sure.

What life lesson did you learn the hard way?

That it's OK to ask for help sometimes. It’s great to be independent but you can’t do it all yourself.

What inspires you most?

Leading a great team of Brand Ambassadors and being proud of a job well done.
