Meet Tara!! We are thrilled to have her on our NYC team! Tara is a Chicago native and coming up on her 10-year anniversary living in NYC! She studied drama and musical theatre at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and continues to pursue her passions of acting, singing, and writing. Her solo show
The Boys I Loved in Catholic School premiered at the Duplex last year and she hopes to keep expanding on that material. Tara is also a member of The Story Pirates Acting Company, a group of talented improvisors, comedians, and musicians that celebrates the ideas of children. We love having her on the Lane and can't wait to see what she does next!
Why do you LOVE working on the Lane?
It's such a positive and collaborative work environment! And I love always being in a new place, interacting with different, interesting people.
If you were a pie, what flavor would you be?
Chocolate pecan pie a la mode-- A sweet twist on a classic...and a little extra :)

What would we find in your fridge right now?
A stocked fresh veggie drawer, a hidden bar of dark chocolate, homemade cold brew, and 5 different brands of hot sauce
Who was your childhood crush?
Anyone in a boy band with a frosted tip was really IT for me. So, Justin Timberlake, Nick Carter, Nick Lachey, Chris Trousdale (this is a deep cut). On the opposite spectrum, my teenage crushes were anyone in a punk rock band with long dark hair over their eyes--Pete Wentz, Brendon Urie, Alex Gaskarth. What can I say? We contain multitudes.
What is your cheat day meal??
Wings and fries with ALL the sauces.
What is the wallpaper on your cell phone right now?
The red zebra wallpaper from The Royal Tenenbaums. I am a huge Wes Anderson fan.
What is your greatest attribute as a BA?
I am a collaborative, people-person, and I thrive in adapting to new situations.
What would be your superpower and why?
Oh geez...I have an ever-evolving 90s playlist on Spotify for all my 90s love. CURRENTLY, my most played 90s throwback has been There She Goes by The La's.
