Meet Susannah!! Our southern Laner turned New Yorker! Susannah is originally from Austin, Texas (born and raised) and now calls New York City home. She loves exploring new neighborhoods, watching in-depth video essays, and dessert. Don't we all?! She stays very busy working as a singer/dancer/actor, content creator, teaching artist for young children, voiceover artist, and amenities associate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance with a focus in Musical Theatre from the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently playing Jenny in the digital debut of Human Resources. Key Lime - tangy, complex, zesty. Very refreshing.
What’s your favorite 90’s jam?
Crazy by Britney! 100%. That hook gets me every time.
What is your dream vacation?
Backpacking across New Zealand, pretending I'm in Lord of the Rings. I'm not even the biggest LOTR fan, but that scenery... it's absolutely magical. They shot most of it in New Zealand and ever since I found that out, I've wanted to go.
How would your best friend describe you?
I did an exercise for an Off the Lane program recently where I did this! My friend said I'm "positive, able to adapt to a wrench in plans, funny/sarcastic, problem-solving, and enthusiastic to learn." Oh, and that friend was also a Laner! Small world.
What would we find in your fridge right now?
Lots of Snap Kitchen, condiments, frozen veggies, and coffee grounds. We stock up in this household.
Who would play you in a movie of your life?
Hopefully me. If I'm too busy directing my own life movie, Florence Pugh would be great.
What is your go to Karaoke song?
Love Shack by The B-52's!
Who was your childhood crush?
Tie between Scott Pilgrim-era Michael Cera and Scott Pilgrim-era Brie Larson.
What would be your superpower and why?
My pick has always been reading minds. I'm not sure why... I get major FOMO, and knowing what everyone's thinking would probably help! I need to hear all the tea!
What is your cheat day meal?
Burgers. Any burger. Veggie, red meat, chicken, Beyond, Impossible... anything with a side of fries.
What is your greatest attribute as a BA?
My improv skills. I'm able to quickly adapt when something changes, goes wrong, or the whole game plan gets switched around.
