Robert Zelaya is the #Laner of the Week!

This week's #LOTW, Robert Zelaya, hails from sunny Miami, Florida.  He traded in South Beach for the Big Apple to pursue his dream of gracing the Broadway stage.  In his own words, he loves "beaches, belting, and exploring new areas around New York City and other metropolitan areas."  As a performer, he has traveled the world with Celebrity Cruises and has toured America with Theatreworks/USA.  On a day to day basis, you can find him discovering the next best cup of coffee at a café or investigating where the next best cultural event is taking place. Robert Zelaya has been a familiar face on Mustard Lane since November of 2015, when he was referred to us by his good friend Annette Navarro.  They were classmates together at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.  Since graduating and moving to NY, Robert has been a solid presence on the Lane, filling the space with his smile, his sense of humor, and his solid reliability.  He likes working for us, too!   "Interacting and trying to grab the attention of new people every minute is so thrilling!" he says. That attitude is exactly why we hire him for high-profile events, like movie promotions or to model Dockers' menswear for NY Fashion Week.  He counts making 'Blue Steel' impressions for the Zoolander 2 premiere as one of his favorite events ever, hands down. He also got in the Christmas spirit during a Barclay Card activation, coaxing busy New Yorkers off the street to take a second to play a special holiday gift game. This Christmas Robert Zelaya will spread holiday cheer in a much larger venue.  In July he was offered the Radio City Christmas Spectacular!   We can't wait to see him on stage with all those gorgeous Rockettes.  We are so proud of Robert for living his dreams.  Congratulations, Robert.  And Merry Christmas-- a few months early!
