Our LANER OF THE WEEK is Jamie Hamill!

Jamie, our Laner of the Week, grew up in the Bay Area! Over the years, he’s bopped around! …born in Connecticut, lived in Denver, and has now lived in Vegas for twelve years. He’s a seasoned vet, having been in the event industry for over ten years. He also enjoys being a Mascot! More on all-things-Jamie below!

What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?

I really enjoy being a part of the team. I enjoy the variety of events. . The staff is very professional and the communication is great. For example, when I email with questions regarding an event, I get a prompt response. All of the team leaders for the events have been awesome and very accommodating.

When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!

Other Brand Ambassador and mascot events.

Favorite restaurant or food?

BJ’s – they have a great variety of food. I love wings, burgers, steak. I also love Sushi and Italian food and Thai.

What is one of your goals for 2025?

To step out of my comfort zone and try new things.

Name your favorite travel spot…any fun stories here?!

My favorite places that I have travelled are Costa, Australia and New Zealand and I went on an African Safari. The first time I heard a Howler Monkey I jumped out of bed and was very scared.

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from the Lane?

Sleeping in, and enjoying and drinking my favorite coffee, exercising, watching sports (college basketball is my favorite sport to watch). Spending time with my family and going out to eat.

Beach or Pool?

Beach! The sound of the waves and the sand in your toes, and boogie Boarding…!

Do you have a favorite podcast/concert-going experience? Tell us!

Yes, when I lived in Denver, I went to my favorite music venue, Red Rocks. My favorite concert at Red Rocks was seeing the Dave Matthews Band. My friends are in a Bluegrass Band. Favorite bands are Mumford&Sons, Coldplay, The Lumineers, and of course: Dave Matthews Band.

What’s your hidden talent?!

Being a mascot and entertaining kids.

If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?

To be a scientist that helps find a cure for cancer.

What’s an essential part of your daily routine?

Exercising!

What life lesson did you learn the hard way?

Being a first time father.

Summer is here! Any plans?!

Spending time with family and friends, traveling and playing tennis

What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work for the Lane should the chance ever arise?

Philz Coffee, Google and Nike.

What inspires you most?

My daughter.

Any advice for someone wanting to enter the world of gig work?

Be a great team player, have a very positive attitude, and arrive early for work. Don’t be timid and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
