Our LANER OF THE WEEK is Dustin Clodfelter!

Matthew Borchers

Our Laner of the Week, Dustin, is an actor originally from North Carolina! When he’s not crying over Breakdown Services, he lends his trauma to comedy writing. Doing some of the roasts and Snatch Game ghost-writing for contestants on Drag Race has led Dustin to embellishing costumes for Drag Race girls and local queens here in NYC. While his typical focuses are on booking television and film gigs, right now he’s looking to return to his birthweight by next summer.

What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?

I’m new to the BA game, but I have to say Mustard is a little family! They are very professional and I feel the team always has my back.

When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!

I am currently helping NYC drag queens prepare for pageants . Also, as some of you may already know, I work with Luigi Mangione’s social media people and his legal team, campaigning for his right to a fair trial. Yes I’ve spoken to him and no I’m not his type… sigh.

Favorite restaurant or food?

I have a huge sweet tooth so I’m a pretty cheap and easy date.

What is one of your goals for 2025?

I just want to book another TV show where they don’t kill me off.

Favorite place to travel?!

I work in Fire Island every weekend so that’s my little get away. I tend to always end up in Mexico and Hawaii a lot also!

What’s your fave way to spend a day off from the Lane?

In the summer I love sitting by the pool with a cocktail.

Any good concert-going experiences?

I spent a lot of time on my Renaissance costume where I wore over 16,000 rhinestones. I was featured on Beyoncé’s website and Instagram so…not being able to sit down or use the bathroom was totally worth it.

What’s your hidden talent?!

I’m actually 6’2 but I mask it really well.

If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?

I am fully comfortable being a trophy wife. Just set up the direct deposit and we’re good.

What’s an essential part of your daily Laner routine?

I go to the gym everyday and regret every second of it.

What life lesson did you learn the hard way?

Get the money up front.

It’s Fall! What do you like about this time of year?!

I wear tank tops year round…so, this is not a good season for me.

What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work as a Laner should the chance ever arise?

The Chucky franchise.

What inspires you most?

Prozac.

Any advice for someone starting out as a Laner?

Be prepared to adapt! Keep a positive attitude and strengthen your lower back.
