Mustard Lane has grown by leaps and bounds since 2005, when CEO Kristal Mallookis realized she wasn’t going to be a dancer as originally planned. She applied for a job with NY chain Cafe Metro, and the rest is history. She learned she had a talent for recruiting and hiring just the right person for just the right event. Cafe Metro soon expanded her role, putting her in charge of staffing for all breakfast and lunch promos.
She soon branched off, creating Mustard Lane. Armed with 12 gorgeous and charming promotional models (the dancers turned models who were her friends), she gained her first major client, Honest Tea in 2006. Shortly thereafter, POP Chips came along. (If you haven’t tried either brand, they are both truly delicious!)
Mallookis’ roster has grown from that tiny staff of 12 to over 100 promotional models nation-wide. She recently expanded operations to include a West Coast chapter of Mustard Lane. Her LA Laners have already worked events with Sony and Juicy Couture. Back in NY, her distinguished client list includes L’Oreal, The New York Post, Duane Reade and many, many more.
Looking back over the last last nine years, Mallookis is most grateful for those kick-ass companies that supported her in the beginning: NYC&Co, Herbnpeach, PepsiCo / Frito-lay, MKG, Eventage, Event Farm, Fresh&Co, and especially Cafe Metro. She is proud to continue to meet these companies’ staffing needs today. They gave her the opportunity to do what she does best.
Today we here at Mustard Lane aim for nationwide prominence. Tomorrow? World domination! Wherever we are, Mustard Lane is a must for your brand!
