Mustard Lane: What is a Promotional Model?

promotional model mustard lane doveAt Mustard Lane, promotional models make up a good chunk of our business.  We provided 100 costumed butlers for Celebrity Cruises, mad scientists for Dove, and tons of other specialties for major brands throughout New York City. "Okay," you may be thinking.  "But how is a promotional model different from a regular model?" Good question!  First, we assume that by "regular" model, you mean a fashion model.  Well, fashion models can be promotional models and vice versa.  The difference is that a promotional model is a walking, talking embodiment of a certain brand.  In other words, promotional models are conventionally attractive people who are hired to drive consumer interest in a product by interacting with potential clients.  They make a product or service more appealing and can talk at length about its benefits to members of the public or the media. We don't mean to brag, but our promotional models really are the best in the business!  We don't just hire gorgeous people.  We hire people who learn fast, who can speak intelligently about a product, and who aren't afraid to walk up to a person and start chatting about a product.  (Or, in the case of our recent Walking Dead promotion, when we slapped on zombie makeup and limped up to people, walking up to people and moaning.  All in a day's work!)  Whatever the gig, #Laners are fearless, fun, and intelligent! So the next time you're walking down the street, keep your eye out for a mad scientist, a zombie, a butler, a sexy Santa Claus... our promotional models take many forms, but they have one thing in common:  they come from Mustard Lane!
