Meet Melissa! Our passionate, sushi loving Laner of the Week! A proud Columbian-Venezuelan, Melissa knew she had a deep passion for art at a very young age. She moved to NYC from Venezuela by herself in 2012 to study acting, dance, and English. This newfound love for learning then brought her to Los Angeles as she committed herself to earning her BFA in acting from the New York Film Academy. After 9 years of hard work, Melissa is now a SAG-AFTRA actress and professional dancing with many national commercials, films, and TV credits under her belt! We love having her hard working and passionate spirit on our team!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
I like how nice, and professional Mustard Lane is! I love getting to interact and get to know so many new people when I’m working as a BA! Getting to connect with new beautiful faces and making people smile nurtures my soul and allows me to live in my purpose.
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
Catch me at a dance class, acting class, at the gym, in a theatre, or on my couch watching my favorite show while dog-sitting 🙂
Favorite restaurant or food?
It’s either Sushi or Italian for me.
What is one of your goals for 2022?
To book a lead role.
Name a place you’d love to travel to. And why?!
Bali. To see beautiful nature and meditate where it was all born!
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Starting with a good coffee and breakfast, then going to the beach (sounds cliche but I’m from an island so it is what it is) and ending the day with a good movie and some popcorn, pizza and wine.
Do you prefer podcasts or books? Favorite one?
Audio Books 🙂 a hybrid of the 2.
What’s your hidden talent?!
Sports – tennis. I’m fast at learning a new sport.
If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?
Lead role in a motion picture.
What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
Meditation and workout.
What is your favorite family or friend tradition?
Making Colombian Buñuelos together during Chirtmas.

People, nature and art.
