Matt Bogey is our #Laner of the Week!

M / L

Matt Bogorad, more commonly known as Matt Bogey, has been on the lane for 6 months now. He’s a great addition to our New York staff and has rapidly become one of our go-to New York brand ambassadors. Matt grew up in the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York and attended Lasell College, just outside of Boston. Throughout his years at Lasell, Matt enjoyed playing rugby with friends. Bogey  also managed the Forestburgh Playhouse every year since turning 17. He considers the tavern his second home!

We love working with Matt at ML. He’s hard working and always brings his A game. When asked what he likes about ML Matt replied, “Without sounding too mawkish, everything. The company is filled with down-to-earth professional people. It’s refreshing. Everyone seems to just ‘get it.’ It also feels so nice not to have to report to the same location on a daily basis. The versatility surrounding each gig constantly keeps me on my toes and prevents work from ever becoming anything close to banal.”

Outside the Lane Matt works as a bartender and gymnastics instructor. His main focus right now is studying for grad school. Bogey’s plan is to get his MA in English Literature and hopefully start teaching at a college or university. When he’s not occupied by his 3 jobs and studying for grad school Bogey enjoys playing the banjo, bass and guitar!

Oh, and he has a great cat named Frederick Douglas.
