Meet Mateus! Our talented Laner of the Week!! Born and raised in Recife-Brazil, this Laner got his BFA in Dance from WTAMU. He has performed all over and his favorite credits include: Fiddler on the Roof National Tour, Spamalot National Tour, West Side Story (Guthrie Theatre), On Your Feet (NCT), Fiddler (Lyric Opera of Chicago), South Pacific (TUTS), Newsies (Fireside Theatre)...and so many more! This talented dancer stays busy! off the Lane, you can find him in dance class, thrift store shopping, or at dinner with his husband! We love having this passionate Laner on our Team!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
I love the coworkers. Everyone is so friendly and have similar interests than me. I also love that more often than not we are gifted different products in the end of each event which doesn’t happen in any other job I’ve ever had.
When you're not on the Lane...what are you doing?!
Going to the movies, taking dance class, starting a new arts&crafts projects, thrift store shopping, going to dinner with my husband.
Favorite restaurant or food?
I love Thai Food, most specifically tofu pineapple fried rice with cashews.
What is one of your goals for 2023?
Continue pursuing happiness, spending less time on my phone and more time outside, and traveling more.
Name a place you'd love to travel to. And why?!
I’d love to travel to Greece because I have had a couple of close friends tell me that’s the most beautiful place they’ve ever traveled to.
What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
I love going to the movies or trying out a new restaurant.
Do you prefer podcasts or books? Favorite one?
I love podcasts where the authors of the book are the ones narrating.
What's your hidden talent?!

If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?
Making my Broadway Debut in literally anything!
What's an essential part of your daily routine?
My skin care routine. I plan to be 60 looking like 30.
What is your favorite family or friend tradition?
Going to the beach during Reveillon (New Year’s) and jumping over 7 waves for good luck.
