Meet Madeline!! Our Burlesque dancing, Laner of the week!! Originally from Texas, this Laner moved to NYC 6 years ago to explore and create! Coming from a big family with 6 siblings, they all inspired one another to pursue their passions. Madeline’s is dance! After college she chose to make the move to the Big Apple and the World has opened up to her! She has spent the time choreographing, dancing on cruise ships and theme parks, performed on TV, and even recently danced for the NBA! Quite the resume! Off the Lane you can find her in Astoria with her husband and sweet pup! We love having her passionate and creative energy on our team!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
I love the community that ML has created! Everyone that I have met through this company has been wonderful.
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
Teaching Burlesque, dancing or choreographing.
Favorite restaurant or food?
I just moved to Astoria and the food options are insanely good! Seva has unreal Indian food and that has been the go-to takeout option.
What is one of your goals for 2022?
I would love to read more books, to continue learning.
Name a place you’d love to travel to. And why?!
Tokyo, Japan! The culture of japan has always fascinated me and I would love to see it in person.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
Movies, snacks and my pup.
Do you prefer podcasts or books? Favorite one?
I love podcasts! Armchair Expert is one I am currently loving.
What’s your hidden talent?!
When I was 10 I learned how to body beat and I will occasionally pull it out when inspired.
If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?
To be a Burlesque dancer at Crazy Horse in Paris.
What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
Budgeting lol! It sounds silly, but my favorite part of my morning is sitting down with coffee and looking over my budget…maybe I need to get out more.
What is your favorite family or friend tradition?
My family has made a scripted Christmas movie every year since 1999.
What inspires you most?
Whenever I feel uninspired, especially in this industry, I love to go see live art. I got that advice when I first moved here and I stand by it. I always walk away feeling fuller and more inspired.
