Lauren Meckle is our Laner of the Week!

Meet Lauren!! This smart and hardworking Laner is originally from Texas and now calls San Marcos home. She is currently enrolled as a doctoral student in the Anatomy Department at the University of Otago in New Zealand, but working on her PhD from home. She lives there in San Marcos with her partner, Christian. When she isn't working on the Lane or studying she spends most of her free time writing and reading as well as rehearsing for a fabulous one-woman dark comedy, Bad Girls Upset by the Truth, which premieres in Austin this March. Her goal as a performer and writer is to find meaningful, entertaining, and relatable ways to address the tough stuff in life. And we LOVE sharing those journeys with her!

Why do you LOVE working on the Lane?

I love sharing the energy an exciting brand can generate and Mustard Lane gives me the flexibility to work whenever I can and want to.

If you could be any kind of pie, what would you be?

Taco flavored!

What is your dream vacation?

A trip to Galway, Ireland during Christmas.

How would your best friend describe you?

Too far away!

What would we find in your fridge right now?

Jalapeño and cream cheese tamales. And maybe my phone.

What is your go to Karaoke song?

'Like a Virgin' by Madonna.

What is your favorite 90's jam?

'Strawberry Wine' by Deana Carter.

What is your cheat day meal?

A Target jumbo pretzel with salt not sugar.

What would your super power be??

To think like Susan Sontag so no one would understand me but everyone would respect me.
