Meet Gabriela! Our creative and beautiful Laner of the Week! Originally from Prince George’s County, Maryland, this Laner moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 2021. She is a creative soul and has been focusing her art in dance and acting. She is hoping to expand that to include directing and choreography this year. Off the Lane, you can find her hiking, going to the beach, or exploring different cultures each neighborhood her city has to offer. We love having her adventurous spirit on our team!!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
My favorite thing about Mustard Lane are the variety of events we get to choose from. Each event is so unique and special and whenever I get to an event, I am exposed to something new about the industry and how it works.
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
I am either reading a play, studying lines, dancing, or cooking 🙂
Favorite restaurant or food?
My favorite restaurant in LA is Granville.
What is one of your goals for 2023?
One of my goals for 2023 is to secure representation as an actress in TV/Film/Theatrical.
Name a place you’d love to travel to. And why?!
I would really love to travel to Italy. I started watching White Lotus and season 2 is filmed there. The views are absolutely beautiful and I really want to experience them!
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
I love going to the beach!
Do you prefer podcasts or books? Favorite one?
That is SUCH a hard choice and it ultimately depends on my mood. My favorite book is A New Earth by Eckart Tolle and my favorite podcast is Expanded by To Be Magnetic.
What’s your hidden talent?!
My hidden talent is that I am really good at finding a different use for objects, other than their standard use. For example, you can use glass mason jars as a q-tip and cotton pad holder/container.
If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?
Be an actress in my own TV show (manifesting)!
What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
Taking a walk in nature without my phone – just spending intentional, quiet time with nature.
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
Whenever you are trying to secure a raise at your job, ask for as much money as possible – because if you go your highest you have cushion room!
What inspires you most?
My fellow creative artists/friends that I moved to Los Angeles with. They are really crushing their dreams right now and that is so moving!
