Meet Chris! One of our wonderful OG Laners! Originally from St. Clair Shores, MI, he moved to NYC at only 19 to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to study acting. He spent a total of 10 years living in The Big Apple auditioning, producing his own short films, working for ML, and really getting the opportunity to experience all that the city had to offer! About 5 years ago he left the Big Apple for sunny Los Angeles. He has continued to pursue his passion by writing, producing, and acting in film. He’s even added directing to his accomplished resume! Aside from continuing to work on the Lane, Chris has been grinding on his newfound love, photography. You can check out his most recent work here! He truly loves being able to give artists exactly the type of career shot they are looking for and is grateful to slowly be building up his clientele! We absolutely ADORE this passionate and hardworking Laner!
Why do you LOVE working on the Lane?
Since day one, I’ve loved working for Mustard Lane, because of how much care Kristal and her crew put into each event they put together for us. The staff is always fantastic as well. With high energy and work ethic. And don’t even get me started with the events they book! So awesome!
What is your best attribute as a BA?
Making a connection/rapport with almost anybody within minutes of meeting them!
Most memorable gig with ML?
Too many to choose from, but I bartended an Alicia Keys shoe release back in NYC one year on the west side that was really fun! We were shaking up quite a few delicious cocktails, and got to hear Alicia Keys perform, too!
What did you learn from your quarantine experience?
I’ve learned that it’s easy to grow comfortable and become distracted in life when the train is continually moving. But, since we all came to a halt, the train stopped unexpectedly, which gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate my day-to-day life, re-establish my goals, and figure out how to get back on track with the things I love in life.
Are you back to work or gigs??
Not yet! I’m keeping a tab on the number of cases here in LA and those numbers are still going up, up, up. So, I am taking it a day at a time, while working on my photography at home.
What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?
I wrote, starred in, directed, edited, and did the music for a short film I produced a few years ago. I was able to pick up a couple of awards at some of the film festivals I attended. The other artists I met/networked with made the experience well worth it.
What are you looking to achieve in your career this year?
To finally nab that guest star in a TV show. That will catapult me into another level. And I am confident in my ability/talent within being able to network while on set. Also, beefing up my clientele regarding my photography and making some income in that field as well.
Are you typically a homebody or a social butterfly?
I am a really nice balance of both. I love being outdoors and spending time with friends, but at the same time I can get onboard with staying in while watching a movie, or staying busy with other fun things!
How would your best friend describe you?
Loyal, loving, hard worker, and that I’ve got their back.
