Casey Vanderstoep: Californian Texan on Mustard Lane
Casey Vanderstoep is a 22-year-old actor who moved from California to Austin, Texas. We met him when he worked for us at the
SXSW Festival this spring. Even though he's new to Mustard Lane, he made a big impression. Evidently he feels the same way about us. "Even though I've only been with the Lane for a short time, I can already tell you they are an incredible agency to work for!" he gushes. Thanks, Casey! He and his fellow #Laners of the Week make our company great.
This week's #LOTW initially stood out at the Kegs and Eggs event for
Comedy Central at SXSW. He created the character of Casey Bellacourt, heir to the Bellacourt steel fortune, based on the TV show
Another Period. He jumped into the role, dancing and mingling with guests for six hours! He also worked the Delta Social Soul tent at SXSW, and helped us with an NHL playoffs delivery gig in Dallas. Many of our new Laners throughout Texas were referrals from him. "I love... the fact that my main responsibility is to make sure that everything is going smoothly and that everyone is having a good time," Casey says. "Every gig is totally different and an opportunity to interact with an entirely new group of people."
When Casey worked the 100K in 10 event in Houston, our friends at
Eventage called us personally to let us know how amazing he was. We also love that he's down to travel throughout Texas. In fact, Casey loves to take road trips to "anywhere there is good surf or music." While his degree is in audio engineering, he admits to a "passion for music, fitness, and fashion."
