Meet Alex!! Our talented video savvy Laner of the Week! This New Yorker loves filming and works professionally for many clients here in NYC! Off the Lane you can also find him taking portraits of his friends and creating mini films as a visual content creator. He gets a lot of inspiration from touring museums and watching documentary films! Recently he released a self-produced song called “Waiting For You“. It is now out on all streaming platforms, including a music video on his Youtube channel that he directed and produced! His goal is to offer viewers an escape during the craziness that is our new normal. He hopes to inspire others to use this time to create art! We LOVE having this driven and inspirational Laner on the team!

Why do you LOVE working on the Lane?
It’s a great cast of characters. Everyone is creative in some way and always ready to bring the energy. It’s fun to be around.
Where are you spending your Corona Quarantine time?
I’m spending my quarantine out in Long Island with my parents for now. Left NYC for a minute for more space and a slower pace. It’s been helpful for my mental health.
What is your favorite activity to occupy yourself while staying home?
My favorite quarantine activity is editing video footage I shot before this all went down. I’m currently documenting myself and my quarantine experience and plan to edit video content out of that. I also am rediscovering my fitness and adapting to home workouts. Last, but not least, attempting to stay relevant by making TikTok videos.
The hard hitting questions…if you could be any kind of pie, what would you be?
Sweet potato pie.
What is your dream vacation?
Somewhere tropical or Europe for its rich history.
Have you discovered any new hobbies with all your free time?
Cutting patterns out of fabrics for my mom to sew. I’m playing with ideas for a new song I want to self produce on my laptop.
Quarantine tips for others to stay healthy and sane?
Take a break if you need it! It’s ok, especially as a creative. It’s easy to get stressed and frustrated right now. Drink lots of water, eat healthy food, practice your breathing exercises and gratitude, and get the rest you need. Be patient with yourself and whoever you’re living with. This is our time to master self care!
What is your favorite 90’s jam?
Wannabe. 🙂
Any local businesses you’re supporting right now?
Right now I’m supporting my mom’s small business of accessories and alterations, Zaraz Collection in Lynbrook, NY. I’ve been trying to help her apply for economic disaster relief loans and we’ve teamed up to make handmade masks by repurposing fabrics.
How would your best friend describe you?
Empathic, inspiring, kind, courageous.
What is your greatest attribute as a BA?
My inviting and warm energy.
