While our Laner of the Week, Natalie, has lived in every continental US time zone, she claims North Carolina as where she’s from, and is proud to call NYC her home! Natalie is a Brooklyn based actor and theatre producer who can frequently be seen in Murder Mystery shows in the tristate area. She is constantly leveling up her producing skills and network! She’s currently working on some new musicals and doing Murder Mystery on the weekend…one can say that the artist life is being lived to the fullest extent! But that’s not all…Natalie shared some other aspects of her life with us too!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
Mustard Lane has been such a great way for me to level up my network and what I refer to as “professional people person” skills. Not only are all the Laners great to work with, but I’ve loved meeting clients and helping these events come to life.
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
Catch me in Murder Mystery Co. shows, playing a wide variety of kooky characters, all who are suspected of murder!! I also love to meet and connect with artists in any regard, whether to work on new projects together or just to expand my network. Let’s grab lunch, a coffee, or a sweet treat sometime!
Favorite restaurant or food?
I’m a sucker for pasta. Pasta Louise in Brooklyn makes it from scratch, in-house, every day and it is so good! I am there at least once a month, sometimes multiple times a week.
Any goals or things you’re looking forward to for the second half of 2026?
I want to get more into producing filmed content! Can’t wait to connect with filmmakers and expand out of just producing for stage.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?!
It’s not about where I go for me but who I am with. With my family, or with the right friends, absolutely anywhere can feel like a party!!
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from the Lane?
Rest-and-rejuvenation is the best day off for me. Sleeping in, a walk through Prospect Park, and having a chill day. …potentially taking myself out for a little meal in Brooklyn.
It’s SUMMER! Any trips, getaways, or fun plans in the works?!
I’m hoping to make a trip to see my family in North Carolina and my lovely nephews and niece.
Pool or Beach?!
Beach all the way!!
Popsicle or Ice Cream?
Ice Cream!!
If you could have your dream job tomorrow – other than Laner of the Week – what would it be?
I feel like I’m living a dream life already! It would probably be very similar to what I’m already doing but on a larger scale. Producing new shows, acting whenever possible, and earning a living that way.
What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
My whole day feels off if my hair is “icky” to me. Even if it’s second (or third) day hair, I need the style to give me confidence to get things done.
What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work as a Laner, should the chance ever arise?
I love working events in costume. Any series premiere activations or movie immersive experiences would be the dream.
What has freelancing and working events taught you?
Never assume you can’t do something just because you told yourself you can’t. There are so many ways to stretch and grow in skills I didn’t think I would ever possibly have, but I had to just go for them.
Any advice for someone wanting to become a Laner and start gig-working?
Jump in! The best way to start is by doing. Join the Lane and find yourself booking amazing gigs and strengthening your skills on every one. Fake confidence precedes confidence.
What inspires you most?
It may be weird but the future potential of myself inspires me. It’s only potential until I work at it and make it happen. No one wakes up an EGOT winner without having putting all the EGOT potential to work in all those projects.
