We’ll let our Laner of the Week, Tan, introduce himself: “I was born in Saigon and my family emigrated to the US when I was a child at the end of the Vietnam War. I come from a large family of 13 kids and we all grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. My parents are hard working immigrants and instilled in us a strong work ethic, compassion for others, commitment to community and above all: “practice kindness daily.” Most of my family members are the typical Asian engineers and doctors but I knew I wanted to be an accountant at an early age. I studied Accounting and Corporate Finance at San Jose State University. I have worked for Saturn, Hewlett Packard, Apple and GILEAD during my career. I found out that my strength is making connections with people and sharing experiences. I was raised as a Buddhist so I make an effort to live in the present and to enjoy all that life affords us and to be of service to others.” There ya have it! More on Tan below!

Rinse and repeat. We all need a purpose in this world and wealth is not everything. Immortality to me is my legacy I leave behind for others.
