Our Laner of the Week, Matthew, lives a bit outside of Philly! He loves staying active. He enjoys working promotional events since he’s got aspirations of his own to be an entrepreneur! (He’s actively pursuing that as well!) Matt was previously in sales and consulting work, but pivoted in order to double down on his passions. But that’s just the tip of the iceBRIGG. What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
As mentioned it’s good to be in the experiential marketing game especially as someone who would like to need those services in the future for my own entrepreneurial pursuit. But, Mustard Lane is so responsive, helpful, and the event I just did was fun. Hope to keep doing similar in the future.
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
Staying physically active, and mentally composed.
Favorite restaurant or food?
Sushi or hearty classic traditional food (Shepard pie, stew, etc)
Favorite travel destinations?
I was born in South Africa! But I’ve traveled to: Scotland for a scotch tour…Spain was amazing…did a road trip through Kentucky to New Orleans and that was so much fun! Would love to do more in the future.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from the Lane?
Hiking and having a drink and a cigar and getting good food at the end.
What’s your hidden talent?!
Not sure? ..probably music and movie knowledge.
If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?
Self-running enterprise, so I could travel, farm, work on cars from the 80s and 90s, and buy, rehab, and rent out houses in nice, less-populated areas of Pennsylvania…and maybe other places.
What’s an essential part of your daily Laner routine?
Walking!
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
Life is short.
It’s still winter…what do you look forward to this time of year?
Snow in moderate and manageable amounts
Favorite kind of soup?
Ganley’s chili is a recent favorite but I love a lot of soups and stews.
What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work as a Laner, should the chance ever arise?
US Open Tennis, Superbowl or NBA Finals or similar!
What inspires you most?
“Memento mori.”
