Our Laner of the Week, Quinton, was born and raised in Atlanta! He’s a New York–based performer and event pro who brings Southern warmth and big-city polish to every Mustard Lane gig. He moved to NYC to earn his Bachelor of Arts from Marymount Manhattan College, then took his love of travel worldwide with years of performance work on cruise ships. Now happily land-based, Quinton channels that same energy, adaptability, and hospitality into his work as a Laner while stepping into screen roles, including an appearance in the upcoming film Club Kid featuring Cara Delevingne. But that’s not all! Keep reading!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
The team and the versatility of the events. I think people would agree I am a big personality and with that I enjoy an environment that keeps me on my toes and engaged. I have been fortunate enough to have run the gamut of events with Mustard Lane, whether rocking one of a kind Hermes jewelry for fashion week, supporting an app launch party at Fire Island or hyping basketball fans with one of the tastiest bagels in NY. Mustard never lacks variety!!!
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
Working on myself and my craft to make sure I am pushing to be the best possible version of myself! This has been the most rewarding journey to be on. And never forgetting to laugh, and not take myself too seriously.
Favorite restaurant or food?
Fukuyama’s Asian Fusion Restaurant in Williamsburg serves the best Black Garlic Ramen I have ever tasted. Japanese Cuisine is my absolute fav!!!
What are you looking forward to in 2026?
I’m not ready to reveal too much yet, but I’ve been writing and collaborating with industry friends. I’m not sure which project will take off first, but I’m thrilled because there are several firsts for me, which is both intimidating and exhilarating!
Any fun travel stories? Favorite place?
A few years back, I visited a friend in Dublin, Ireland, and it was absolutely magical. The culture, the sightseeing, and the people were amazing! I ended up at a bar with my friend, which happened to have a venue/club known for having celebrity headliners. I don’t know how many people know this, but I was a HUGE Spice Girls fan! And Melanie C was doing a show there that night, which was sold out. When I was there, the people made my trip. The venue promoter found out it was my first time in Ireland and gave me a VIP ticket to the show. I am probably going to retire in Ireland.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from the Lane?
TBH, in bed. The older I get, the more important my sleep has become to me… Especially on a rainy day! Love an indoor staycation.
Memorable concert or theatre-going experience?
Before the awards and her launch into the stratosphere, I saw Cynthia Erivo in previews for The Color Purple on Broadway and I will never forget how that performance made me feel. There is magic in live theatre and having a sacred experience only shared with those who experienced that particular moment in time with you.
What’s your hidden talent?!
Uno. …literally have lost friends over it 😬
If you could have your dream job tomorrow, what would it be?
My dream job isn’t a job so much as it is making solid enough investments that I don’t have to work and can do whatever I want. Freedom and Time are invaluable to me.
What’s an essential part of your daily Laner routine?
Coffee (specifically espresso beans)
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
You can’t trust everyone. And what you give is not always what you get back.
What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work as a Laner should the chance ever arise?
The Archer App Fire Island Promo Event!!!
What inspires you most?
Writing and learning new things. The act of learning literally ignites new pathways in the brain and to be too cliche but you never know where those paths will lead you.
Any advice for someone wanting to become a Laner and enter the world of events/gigs?
Bring your whole self to whatever you do. I have realized that my growth is only limited by me. My advice it to be a perpetual student and stay curious because that not only enriches you, it creates an atmosphere that people remember you by.
