Say HEY to our Laner of the Week, Anne! Well…she prefers ‘Annie,’ so we’ll go with that! She’s originally from the Poconos, but now lives in Philadephia (Go Birds!) You can find her seeing shows, reading books, watching SNL, and playing treat soccer with her cats. She also loves to travel and was fortunate to spend some time working on cruise ships! Meeting friends from all over the world has been incredibly thrilling for Anne! You’ll get to know her better below…!
What do you like about Mustard Lane or just working events in general?
I love engaging with people, being there for a good time, and contributing to a memorable experience.
When you’re not on the Lane…what are you doing?!
I’m a musical theatre artist! I’m currently working on Grumpy Old Men: The Musical at the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock, Missouri.
Favorite restaurant or food?
I love my mom’s lasagna, but will take a great pasta anywhere.
What is one of your goals for 2025?
My biggest goal for 2025 has been to show up for myself and use just the slightest bit of delusion for the extra confidence boost to get things done.
Name a place you’d love to travel to. And why?!
My favorite place in the world is a tiny town in Norway called Skjolden. It is so magical and serene. You can take an amazing hike up the mountain to see a lake and some meadows, or you can cruise the river between the mountains.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from the Lane?
I love to curl up and do anything cozy!
Favorite TV show?
I’m obsessed with 30 Rock and am constantly watching it. It’s the first show I recommend when new friends are looking for something to watch together. I’m convinced it is the funniest thing ever written.
What’s your hidden talent?!
I’m a great beatboxer!
Now that you’re Laner of the Week, what’s your next dream job?
Broadway, baby!
What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
I start my day with a cup of coffee and a chapter of a book. It’s really important for me to spend time with myself in the morning before I go off and share my energy.
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
I learned that you always have to take care of your Future Self. And sometimes, you have to make a sacrifice today that will benefit you tomorrow.
Any final summer plans?
I’m going to finish my show in Missouri and then go home and have as many beach days as possible.
Beach or Pool?
Beach! Nothing like salt water and sand.
What’s a brand or event that you would love to represent or work as a Laner should the chance ever arise?
I don’t think I have a dream brand just yet. I love most events that are giveaways and have some sort of fun activity for the guests.
What keeps you inspired?
I stay inspired by reading, talking to mentors, journaling, and remembering gratitude.
Any advice for someone wanting to get started as a Laner with freelance/gig work?
Be open minded. Stay flexible and adaptable. You will meet lots of people, some of them will be your speed and some will not. Stay true and enjoy what you do.
